Now Trending: Bomber Jackets

Ah, spring.

One day it's sunny and 75, the next, it's cloudy with the threat of snow. That's March in the northeast for you. I act like I'm complaining, but to be honest, I'm happy to have another chance to share some of my favorite outerwear with you all.

A big trend (for men and women!) this season is the bomber jacket - and I'm totally on board with it. No bulky collar, cute cropped length, and scrunchable sleeves (you know I love an exposed forearm) they're the perfect piece for early spring. In keeping with the season, I felt this petrol green suede number was a just right for the chilly weather, so I hit up Love park here in Philly to show it off.

I especially love this jacket in because it has so many great little details. Plaid lining, a scalloped vent in the back, matching green buttons on the pockets. What's not to love? Did I mention it's vintage? I picked it up for less than 40 bucks at one of my favorite second hand spots in Pittsburgh years ago.

Because the color is so bold, I kept the rest of the look simple - white shirt, grey jeans, and these rust-colored suede Clarks. Something about this chilly early spring weather just calls for a suede-on-suede moment, no?

So what do you think? Is the bomber look for you? If you know what's good for you, you'll say yes. Get out there and give it a whirl before it gets too warm to wear it anymore! Cheers! x

¡Happy Cinco de Mayo!

Hey everyone - happy Cinco de Mayo from those of us out here in sunny LA! I hope you all had a fabulous weekend and are ready to celebrate this holiday the way it should be - with tequila & Mexican cuisine.

To make sure I celebrated in style, I threw a little look together and headed to West Hollywood's own Gracias Madre - vegan Mexican restaurant and frequent haunt of Beyoncé & Jay-Z. And obviously, if its good enough for the queen & king, it's good enough for me.

There really is no better way to spend your Tuesday than sipping margaritas in a linen shirt. Amirite?? (Full Look by JCrew, Sunglasses and Loafers are Vintage.)

Menswear Test Shoot

Earlier this week, Nicholas and I got together with Oscar - a friend of mine from my drama school days - for a menswear test shoot. When we were planning this shoot, we knew we wanted to do something bold and graphic, with strong shapes and angles, so we decided the Walt Disney Concert Hall was the perfect location.

For those not familiar with the Walt Disney Concert Hall, it was designed by architect Frank Gehry to resemble a ship with its sails at full mast. Its stainless steel panels reflect the California sun, and are one of the most recognizable landmarks in the heart of downtown LA.

We really enjoyed shooting this one - and as luck would have it, supermodel Jourdan Dunn was doing a shoot there at the same time. Great minds, huh? Check out our photos below. (Fashion credits at the end of photoset.)

Hey guys! Thought I'd share with you all a little something my boyfriend Nicholas and I shot last week. I've always wanted to challenge myself to create a number of looks from just a few key pieces, so here it is.

20 Pieces. 10 Looks. 10 different occasions to wear them to.

The key to success here was using clean, simple, classic pieces - what I'm referring to as #thenewclassics - to create some really great looks. I used a mix of high-end and casual brands (and even snuck in a few of my own designs) to create accessible looks for any occasion you may have this spring.

Let me know how I did in the comments below - and share with me if you've ever done anything similar. I'd love to check it out.
