MOG Gets Gloss-y

Happy Saturday, cool kids! I wanted to share with you some new favorites of mine from the it-girl skincare brand, Glossier. Now, it's no secret that I was already a fan. In fact, my love affair with them began months ago - when their dual masks were March's #MASKOFTHEMONTH. (Click here for that post!)

But, as luck would have it, Emily Weiss and the Glossier girls were having a popup shop here in LA at the Santa Monica NastyGal store. Naturally, I had to be there.

In short, it was a dream. Great branding + Good Skincare + Chic Females = match made in MOG heaven. Added bonus: their all-pink packaging fits in perfect with this week's theme! I made sure to pick up a few new things to share with you all today.

First - their delicious, creamy, Priming Moisturizer. So hydrating, but not at all greasy - it'll easily integrate into any skincare routine you already have. Follow it up with their Perfecting Skin Tint - the PERFECT shear wash of color that just evens out your skintone, without clogging pores. Enriched with diamond powder, it provides the most dreamy, summery glow. Yum.

If you're in LA - I highly advise heading to Santa Monica this weekend for some fun-in-the-sun with a side of skincare. And if you're not in LA, head to Glossier.com to snag these products - and more! And PS, if you haven't yet - don't forget to Subscribe to our YouTube channel for your chance to win our giveaway! Winner announced when our new video drops tomorrow! Good luck! xx

Thirsty Thursday: Best Rosé Wines Under $15

Hey Everyone - who's thirsty? I know I am. I hope you look forward to Thursdays as much as I do. What's better than kicking off the weekend with a nice cocktail or adult beverage - Amirite?

This week, in keeping with our La Vie En Rose theme, I'm sharing my picks for the very BEST Rosé wines you can find for 15 dollars or less! If you didn't know, Rosé is having a capital M Moment right now - and why wouldn't it? Deliciously crisp and fruity, without being sweet - it's the PERFECT summer wine. It pairs well with a huge variety of foods, and is immensely drinkable. Just be sure to serve it icy cold. Yum.

Here's the list (from left to right, top to bottom): Gerard Bertrand Cote des Roses, Sierra Cantabria Rosado, Bonny Doon Vinyard Vin Gris de Cigare, Gran Feudo Rosado, Charles & Charles Rosé, Chateau de Campuget, White Girl Rosé, Gruet Rosé Brut Champagne, Cotes de Provence Rosé.

All of these should be readily available and easy to find wherever you buy your wine. With the exception of White Girl Rosé - which has yet to be released, but I had to include because it's just too hilarious. (Of course it is - it's the brainchild of internet king and queen @TheFatJewish and @BabeWalker).

Give them a try - and let me know in the comments below if there's a great Rosé I've missed. I'd love to try it! Happy Thursday - get out there and enjoy. And if you haven't yet, be sure to Subscribe to our Youtube Channel for your chance to win our Giveaway!

How to Wear Pink Without Looking Like a Ken Doll

Today, I wanted to share with you my next pink pick from this week's La Vie En Rose theme. Enter, these gorgeous dusty rose trousers from H&M. A great fit, and of course an unbeatable price make them a perfect contender for those who want to dip a toe in the water without diving in head first.

To style them, I kept everything else super cool and minimal, to keep from feeling like I should be hanging out with Barbie and friends. That means keeping it grounded with these chic sandals (also H&M), a simple, crisp white JCrew button down shirt, and a sporty black baseball cap. I accessorized with a minimal cuff and some super reflective shades for a little edge, and I think the result is something quite chic.

Once I had the look decided, we packed up the equipment and headed to my favorite outdoor installation - LACMA's "Levitated Mass" and shot it in action. I hope you like what you see.

So fellas, give pink a try. It can be done. I mean, if I can do it, so can you! Let me know if you have another favorite pink clothing item, or a unique way to style it - I'd love to see it! That's all for now - check back tomorrow for my favorite Rosé picks for our Thirsty Thursday edition of La Vie En Rose. La Vie En Rose: DIY Rosewater Toner

Hey friends! By now you may have seen our #MOGiveaway - and if you haven't - click HERE to enter, by subscribing to our Youtube channel. This week, we're sharing with you La Vie En Rose. Every day, a new one my rose-colored picks - guaranteed to keep you tickled pink as we kick off the month of June!

Today, I'm sharing with you my super simple Rosewater Toner Spray. This stuff is amazing. Not only does it mattify your skin in these less-than-glam hot summer days, it also keeps your makeup in place. Oh, and it smells heavenly too. Sound too good to be true? It's not. Read on for how to make some of your very own!

To make this delicious concoction - simply combine 2 oz distilled water, 1.5 oz rosewater (find it in the ethnic food aisle of the grocery store), and .5 oz witch hazel. Give everything a nice stir, and pour into an atomizer bottle. Pro tip: leave it in the fridge for an even more refreshing spritz. I like to spray it on when I'm finished beating my mug for the day, after some time in the sun, or when I simply need a little pick-me-up.

So get out there and give this a try! I promise, you won't regret it. Who wouldn't want to smell like a delicious fresh bouquet in the heat? It's sure as hell nicer than smelling like a sweatball. Amirite, ladies?? Be sure to check back tomorrow for our next pick in the Vie en Rose week, here on MOG.
