Happy Thursday, friends! Are we having a fantastic week? Is it just me, or does February almost feel like holiday season part 2? It seems every weekend has something going on this month-- which of course, I'm not mad about. Busier is better. It helps the winter fly by, amirite?
Anyway, in the spirit of looking forward to the weekend, I thought I'd share with you one of my favorite beverages of late: The Negroni. Few cocktails are more perfect in their simplicity of ingredients, and yet complexity of flavor. Using just 3 ingredients, it packs a serious punch, so sip with caution, and get the recipe below:
Now, there are many twists on the classic, but the original Negroni simply combines equal parts Gin, Campari, and Sweet Vermouth. This holy trinity creates the perfect balance of spicy, bitter and sweet. Endlessly sippable.
Simply add one shot of each into a cocktail shaker and serve in a rocks glass with a twisted orange peel. Yum. A little sweet, a little spicy, and with a festive red color. Honestly, I can't think of anything more appropriate for Valentine's Day. Just saying.
