MOGBLONDE: Mogblog Lightens Up for Spring

Do you ever get in a rut with your hair and want to do something different to bring a little life back into it? I know I do. I feel like I also suffer from chronic dissatisfaction - whenever my hair is long, I want to buzz it all off, and whenever it's short, I'm praying to the hair gods to make it long again. And/Or considering getting a weave

This time around, I wanted to try and do something a little less drastic to calm my hair boredom woes, and I thought lightening up a bit could be just the thing. So, I did some research and discovered amazing colorist Jean Pierre Sosa, via Instagram of all places. Isn't social media amazing? I headed to B2V Salon here in West Hollywood, and got in his chair.

A couple hours of teasing, painting, foiling, drying, toning, and styling later I came out with the most natural-looking luscious warm golden blonde I've ever had. (and I've had every shade of hair under the sun, trust.) JP described it as "Gatsby Blonde". And you know... I'll take it. I feel very much like Leo in Great Gatsby now. Super elegant, but with an inherent casual coolness too. Can't speak highly enough of him and his work.

PS - to keep my newly colored strands at their best, I've been using Living Proof Perfect Hair Day Shampoo and Conditioner. It smells amazing and makes my hair feel like silk. And hey, if it's good enough for Jen Aniston, it's good enough for me.
