Thirsty Thursday: Bar Cart Basics

Happy almost-weekend, y'all! In honor of this week's Thirsty Thursday (and because I want to share my most recent favorite purchase) I will be giving you the basics on stocking your home bar cart.

If you didn't know (ie, have been living under a rock) Bar Carts are like the boyfriend jean of the interior design world - the "it" piece of the moment. So luxe and glamorous, but undeniably cool and accessible at the same time. There are a million places you can find a great one (but often - it'll cost you.)

Enter, the Threshold Bar Cart from Target. The perfect balance of style and budget. At $129, its reasonable, and still has the look of the $400 + models. Love it. In fact, a lot of the accessories I used to outfit this cart came from Target. Go figure.

In addition to your liquor (which I will leave up to preference) - you'll want to have all of the bits & bobs you need to make a great cocktail. My essentials are as follows: A really sexy Ice Bucket (like this hammered brass one from Threshold) - A Cocktail Shaker and accoutrements (which I got in a set from BevMo) and a couple of little bowls for nuts, olives, chocolates, whatever! (marble bowls by target). Lastly, to contrast all the mixed metals and stone, I threw in these rustic coasters - a gift from my grandfather - that he made out of unfinished wood from an old tree branch. How good are they?

There you have it. All the makings of a delicious craft cocktail. Well, minus the booze. As always, feel free to offer ideas in the comments below, and remember to subscribe & follow us on bloglovin, Pinterest, Instagram, and Facebook!
